The Manning Bowl

Giants and Broncos clash for pivotal week 2 matchup

Peyton and Eli square off against each other tomorrow for the third time in their respective careers.  This game has the makings of being a shootout.  The Giants and Broncos defenses aren't lights out and Peyton and Eli are two quarterbacks that can put up video game like numbers.  It will be interesting to see what recently required Brandon Jacobs will contribute.

With major concerns in the offensive backfield for the Giants, a lot of pressure will fall on Eli to make all the necessary passes.  On defense for big blue, there secondary is suspect and I look for Peyton to take advantage of that every chance he can and then some.

I think the Giants will start out strong because of their desperation not to start out the season 0-2, but soon after the Broncos will settle in and execute their game plan just fine.  This is going to be a close game, the Giants are capable of beating anyone at their best but I think that Peyton Manning will prove too much for the Giants secondary.

The giants will put up points but I just don't see how the Giants can stop that Denver offense which torched the defending Super Bowl Champion Ravens last week.

Final Prediction:

Broncos 41, Giants 38.  The Giants will keep it close with an explosive passing attack led by  Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz but Peyton will shred the Giants secondary.  The Broncos will force a key turnover late to ice the game.
